We mainly meet at our Green Office at Nordbad, Winzererstr. 27, and the café at Josephsplatz, Augustenstr. 112, where our monthly community meetings are held.
We hold a monthly member assembly (also called the community meeting). We also have the Green Round and our event series Equal. Empowered. Green. Learn more about the three formats below.
Every month, usually on the second Thursday at 7 p.m., we hold our community meeting (officially the member assembly). At the meeting, we:
- start with a political round, where everyone can share thoughts on a current political topic – the topic is decided democratically
- have an official focus, often with expert input, on topics like AI or climate adaptation
- can submit motions to be discussed and voted on, which may later be submitted at city assemblies
Have topic ideas? Contact vorstand@gruene-schwabing.de or reach out directly to Florina Vilgertshofer or Florian Schönemann.
In addition to the chapter meeting, we hold the Green Round, usually in the last week of the month.
- It takes place either at the Green Office or an external location
- We often visit other organizations, from Munich’s sewage services to rural Green communities
- We also explore politically relevant places like the Neufreimann development
- Sometimes we do a workshop together at the office to dive into a topic
Got ideas? Contact Gabriele Graswald-Vidovic or Frederik Ostermeier.
Since 2025, we host a new event series called Equal. Empowered. Green.
- The series is a cooperation between the local communities Schwabing/Maxvorstadt/Freimann and Nord
- It provides space for feminist perspectives, discussion, and empowerment
- Events include talks, workshops, readings, and panel discussions
- Some events are exclusively for FLINTA* individuals to offer a safe space; others are open to cis men to foster inclusive conversations on gender equality and change
Questions? Reach out to Regine Pell.
A district committee is the local parliament of a city district. In our three districts – Maxvorstadt, Schwabing-West, and Schwabing-Freimann – we’re each represented with our own Green group.
